Zen appointed authorised distributor for Joan

Zen Interactive Technologies has been appointed a distributor for Joan in the UAE and GCC. Joan’s e-paper room booking displays, desk booking devices and visitor management platform are supplied from Dubai with the licences to go with them.

About Joan

Joan is a workplace booking system built around wireless, battery-powered e-paper displays that sit on the door of every meeting room. The display shows whether the room is free or busy, who has it and what is next, and lets staff book with a tap. Because e-paper only draws power when the image changes, a Joan display runs for months on a charge, needs no power or network cabling, and can be mounted on glass, on a wall or on a pod in minutes. The same platform handles desk booking for hot-desking, visitor pre-registration and check-in, and analytics that show how rooms and desks are actually used.

What Zen provides

Zen supplies the room, desk and wayfinding devices with the platform licences, sizes a deployment from a room list, and pairs Joan with the meeting-room hardware it also distributes – OneScreen displays, Yealink and Nearity room systems and Hush Pod meeting pods.

Double bookings, ghost meetings and rooms nobody can find are universal office problems, and the data Joan produces – utilisation, no-show rates, meeting sizes – is what facilities teams need when deciding how much space an organisation actually needs.
