Zen appointed authorised distributor for Crucial

December 30, 2013

Zen Interactive Technologies has been appointed an authorised distributor for Crucial, the memory and storage brand of Micron Technology, for the UAE and GCC. It was Zen’s first distribution agreement and the foundation of what is now the Storage & Memory segment of the portfolio.

About Crucial

Crucial is one of the few memory and storage brands owned by a company that manufactures its own DRAM and NAND flash. Micron fabricates the silicon, and Crucial packages it into products for consumers, system builders and enterprises: DDR memory modules for desktops, laptops and servers; SATA and NVMe solid-state drives; and portable SSDs. Because the silicon, the firmware and the warranty come from one company, Crucial products are the safe choice for upgrades, new builds and enterprise refreshes.

What the agreement covers

Zen supplies the Crucial range to resellers, retailers, system builders and corporate buyers in the UAE and GCC, with stock held in Dubai. The range covers the DDR4 and DDR5 memory lines in desktop and laptop form factors, the BX and MX series SATA SSDs, the P series NVMe drives and the X series portable SSDs. Warranty and RMA are handled by Zen locally, so a failed module or drive is replaced from Dubai rather than shipped abroad.

Why it matters for the channel

Memory and storage are the most frequently purchased components in the IT channel and the most exposed to grey imports and counterfeits. An authorised distribution route gives resellers genuine product with a traceable warranty, volume pricing and a local partner who can confirm compatibility for a specific system before the order is placed.

The Crucial range is listed on the Crucial page. For volume pricing or a compatibility check, contact the Zen team.
