Zen at GITEX Global 2024

Zen Interactive Technologies exhibited at GITEX Global 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 14 to 18 October, the largest technology exhibition in the region and the week in which most of the GCC channel is in one building.
The stand covered the four segments of the Zen portfolio. On the communications side, 3CX ran live on a demonstration system with Yealink, Snom and Fanvil handsets registered to it, so that visitors could see auto-provisioning, call queues and the mobile app working rather than described. Dinstar gateways connected the demonstration to analogue and GSM lines. The collaboration corner had a Yealink video bar and a Nearity camera and speakerphone set up as a working huddle room, with a Joan e-paper display on the door. Storage and memory were represented by the KingSpec, Netac and TimeTec lines, with SSDs and memory modules on the counter for resellers to handle. Teltonika industrial routers and gateways rounded out the infrastructure section.
GITEX is where existing resellers bring their customers and where new partners find us. Over the five days the team held meetings with system integrators from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait, hosted end customers brought by partners for demonstrations, and met several of the manufacturers we represent, who use the week to visit their distributors in the region.
For a distributor, GITEX is the one week in which product, partner and customer conversations happen in the same place. Decisions made on the stand – a reseller adding a brand, a customer specifying a room system, a vendor extending a territory – shape the following year. Several of the partnerships announced since were first discussed at GITEX 2024.
